Sailing ships in port rest securely because of the solid ropes tied to fixed points on the dock. These cleats serve as fixed points, connection points while refueling, restocking and repairing.
Values and priorities provide stability to our lives as well. Our fixed connection points help us feel secure when sea is whipped up in a hurricane that blows unsecured vessels into one another.
Coaching Connectivity reminds me that I need connections. I need to know how the work I do everyday contributes to my life as a whole. My wife and children need this. These fixed points to help me weather the challenges.
Once the sun comes out and the sea is safe to sail we will embark on yet another journey – refueled, restocked and repaired – thankful for our connection points.
